Planning

The challenge was significant: seamlessly blend the dynamic elements of Japanese neon-driven culture with the serene color palettes of Greece. To overcome this, the design team, led by Artem Zverev and Artur Sharf, delved into an in-depth exploration of both cultures. Their meticulous planning involved selecting distinctive elements that would coalesce within the restaurant, creating a captivating and unforgettable dining experience.

Challenge

The real challenge lay in finding the delicate equilibrium between the opposing design elements. Skillfully integrating Japanese vibrancy with Greek tranquility required a deep understanding of both cultures and a keen eye for design principles that could bridge the gap. YODEZEEN aimed to create a cohesive space where the contrasting aesthetics of these two distinct cultures coexist harmoniously, evoking a sense of intrigue and cultural synthesis.

Concept

YODEZEEN’s concept was to pay homage to Asian traditions and Greek influences. Intricately carved columns symbolized authenticity, while wall materials drew inspiration from the sun-drenched clay houses of Greece. Bamboo-like towers at the entrance, partially painted in red, created a captivating hostess zone, leaving an unforgettable impression. Bead lamps, inspired by Greek craftsmen, told mysterious stories within the restaurant’s design, showcasing the imaginative prowess of the team.

Realization

Immersed in an exploration of Japanese and Greek cultures, YODEZEEN curated distinctive elements for the restaurant’s interior. An accent lamp above the main bar took the form of an ice layer, paying tribute to the establishment’s cocktails and symbolizing the beating core at the heart of the Earth. A waterfall down one of the partitions brought vibrant energy into the space, showcasing YODEZEEN’s commitment to incorporating natural elements into their projects.

The meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout the restaurant’s interior, from intricately designed two-person tables to captivating bead lamps. YODEZEEN’s commitment to crafting unforgettable spaces that weave tales and introduce guests to diverse cultures is exemplified in this restaurant project. It stands as a testament to their unwavering vision of creating living museums that transcend traditional commercial spaces.
